Neat photo of the turtle on the beach. It would be good to have a caption on it identifying the turtle as a Snapping Turtle so that folks don't confuse it with the species of marine turtles (Loggerheads and Leatherbacks) that frequent our waters (but not our beaches).
The letter states that this is likely a freshwater turtle (a correct assumption) but I would not want people who view the site to confuse this with a sea turtle.
Thanks again for posting the pictures. This is the first time I have seen a snapper in salt water!
